With this platform we can track, verify and pay commuters by the mile to walk, bike, take public transportation and carpool. As a member of the tech community, I believe it fits here.) Mark Shapiro of LAIKA, the studio behind Coraline, Kubo & the Two Strings, The Boxtrolls, and ParaNorman. Mark Shapiro from LAIKA will present how these beloved oscar-nominated films are made by hand — from script to illustrations to stop-motion animation. It's a painstaking labor of love that produces an average of two seconds of footage in an week. Mark will also give you an intimate look behind the curtain of LAIKA's biggest stars — the puppets, of course! He'll bring an armature and other stop-motion film goodies with him. All proceeds benefit Cerimon House, a non profit arts and humanities org.
