description nil Part hackathon, part geek social, these biweekly meetings are a time for you to come join others for insight, inspiration or just insanity. Bring your toys for others to see, or come see what others have been painstakingly chipping away at in their spare time. Whether it's code or chips, hacking of all sorts is encouraged. But we also like to hear your crazy ideas, so please come join us and bring your willingness to share your brilliance. We'll be the kids with all the coolest stuff on the table. Hope to see you there.

description nil The topic this month is Source Code Control. Steve Riggins will talk about git, Simran Gleason will talk about Subversion, and if he's available Dave Camp will talk about Mercurial. The idea is not to compare and contrast the options but merely to have someone who is a fan of each tell us the good, bad and ugly about their chosen SCC method. Assuming the iPhone Learning project is over at this point (it could get delayed again if summer slows people down), we'll return to having an open Q&A session after the meeting, followed by/continued over beer.

Steve Riggins will give a presentation on what we need to know about Lion, both as users and developers. Afterwards we'll do the sixth (and final!) month of iPhone Learning, and head for beer.

description Rather than posting content on many third-party silos of data, we should all begin owning our own data that we're creating. Publish short status updates on your own domain, and syndicate to Twitter. Publish photos on your own domain, syndicate to Flickr, etc, etc. This is the basis of the "Indie Web" movement. We'll get together for a day and a half to talk about what has been done in the field, and where still needs to be done. There will be workshops and breakout sessions the second day.
