Fast Tracking Data Mastery with Power BI
Microsoft Portland Office (Pearl District)

Data is changing everything, including what it takes to win in business. Are you ready? Are you savvy about your data? If not, you're not alone. The roadblocks are formidable: too much data from too many sources; not enough data understanding on the business side; low quality data or incomprehensible data; limited analysis tool sets.

What does it take to master your data? What does that look like and how do you get there as painlessly as possible? Why is Power BI such a smart way to go?

Join CSG Pro to look at a new paradigm for building your organizational data expertise. We'll talk technology and tools, but we'll be focused on strategy.

• Learn what skill base you need

• Learn what management commitment looks like

• Learn why (and how) Power BI is a fast track way to get there

• Understand how to start small for a big payout

This seminar is geared toward director, VP and C level executives who think strategically about their businesses data.

If you're a data steward or analyst, this would be a great event to bring your boss to. We show the value of these new powerful business analytics tools.

Please register via the website link. (FREE, and Breakfast is included)

System Center Configuration Manager and Power BI
Microsoft Portland Office (Pearl District)

At this presentation Trey Udy with Marquam will be discussing how he built a Power BI solution template for System Center Configuration Manager. This template, originally built by Microsoft and enhanced significantly by Trey, gives large organizations insights and analytics into OS-level configurations of hundreds to thousands of systems in their DevOps or cloud-based environment.

Trey will discuss where this particular SCCM solution fits into IT management, how the underlying data models work, considerations of building off of pre-built templates, and how you can get started.

Microsoft publishes details on their SCCM & Power BI solution on Github here: https://microsoft.github.io/BusinessPlatformApps/appdoc.html?file=Source/Apps/Microsoft/Released/Microsoft-SCCMTemplate/README.MD

Agenda:

WHAT OUR ATTENDEES SAY

“The NW Power BI Symposium is a fantastic opportunity for business professionals from all industries to learn how Power BI can unleash data-driven insights within their organizations. This event has been invaluable to me as I continue to learn best practices and more sophisticated methods for building high-impact analytics at KEEN Footwear.”

Robert Gillin, Senior Planning Analyst, KEEN, Inc.

“We had analysts across three different teams attend the symposium. Making those connections has really helped break down silos within our own organization and helped build cross-functional teams. We are seeing a great cultural shift and are already looking forward to the next symposium in June.”

Ben Vega, AVP, Data and Reporting Analyst, Frontline Strategy, Umpqua Bank

“Attendees can expect to learn something new and valuable that they will be able to implement right away regardless of their experience with Power BI. The Symposium is a fantastic opportunity to learn about specialized topics in less technical areas, such as Power BI adoption strategies and report design considerations, from local and international experts.”

Stephen Gessling, Business Intelligence Developer, NWEA
