description nil Each Thursday, Alchemy welcomes anyone interested in our program, Portland's most accelerated coding boot camp, to stop in to take a tour of the school, meet our staff, students, and instructors, and ask any questions about an education and career in software development. We look forward to meeting you! No appointment necessary, just stop in and we'll be ready to greet you!!! ABOUT ALCHEMY CODE LAB: Learn from industry professionals in a collaborative environment with in-person instruction from experienced software developers. They share their knowledge and practices to enter the field at a more advanced level. Be supported by teaching assistants and career coaching. A low instructional staff to student ratio of 6 to 1 means you have access to the guidance and help you need to successfully complete our rigorous training. Get prepared and ready to network and connect with the companies that interest you and need your technical skills and experiences. Get more out of your code school. Go beyond online and video-based programs to launch your career at an accelerated level. With a median starting salary of $76k (and an average starting salary of $86K), our graduates earn 25%-50% more than other schools. Call 503.445.4575 or email [email protected] with any questions! Check out our blog (https://www.alchemycodelab.com/blog) to learn more about our diverse and talented grads, and Course Report (https://www.coursereport.com/schools/alchemy-code-lab) and SwitchUp (https://www.switchup.org/bootcamps/alchemy-code-lab) for reviews.

description nil Hey everybody. Got a bug you just can't land? Is there a recent CVE you've been eyeballing seductively? Just want to brush up on your APPSEC or OPSEC? Do none of the above questions make any sense, but you're interested in computer security? PDX Exploit Workshop is the longest running security meetup in Portland (10 years!). It's an open, self driven event for people interested in computer security. Whether you're a novice or career professional, all are welcome. It's always a good time to learn about security! We spend this dedicated time each week researching and exploring topics of software and hardware security as well as working on personal and group projects. Occasionally we have presentations on our findings. Bring a willingness to learn, a curiosity about security, and/or a specific area of interest to share with others. This group meets in the PDX Hackerspace mainspace which has comfy seating, deluxe wifi (thanks Kyle!), Club Mate soda in the snack shack, and hackable LED displays to play around with. p.s. This event is open to everyone! No ^H membership is required to attend. All are welcome. That means you!

This event has been invaluable to me as I continue to learn best practices and more sophisticated methods for building high-impact analytics at KEEN Footwear.” Robert Gillin, Senior Planning Analyst, KEEN, Inc. “We had analysts across three different teams attend the symposium. Making those connections has really helped break down silos within our own organization and helped build cross-functional teams. We are seeing a great cultural shift and are already looking forward to the next symposium in June.” Ben Vega, AVP, Data and Reporting Analyst, Frontline Strategy, Umpqua Bank “Attendees can expect to learn something new and valuable that they will be able to implement right away regardless of their experience with Power BI. The Symposium is a fantastic opportunity to learn about specialized topics in less technical areas, such as Power BI adoption strategies and report design considerations, from local and international experts.” Stephen Gessling, Business Intelligence Developer, NWEA We invite you to come be a part of the premier Pacific Northwest event that brings you closer to business intelligence experts that specialize in our favorite analytics tool, Power BI!
