PDX Weekly Hackathon – Lucky Labrador Brew Pub Come do strange things with computers amongst others whilst drinking fine Portland beer. Look for the row of geeks with computers in the back of the main room. All programming languages welcome. Come work on your own projects, work on others participants' projects, get advice, have fun, etc. You're encouraged to bring a computer, but can team up with others that brought one too. Afterwards, the group descends on the 12th and Hawthorne foodcart pod for additional nourishment. Also, many people meet up at the pub during the same time as the hackathon to play boardgames they bring which you're welcomed to play. |

May Camp Optimization Meet-Up and Happy Hour – Revolution Hall What is Camp Optimization? Camp Optimization's mission is simple: provide a casual, fun and informative forum for digital marketers and technologists to share optimization best-practices, challenges and wins. Who is roboboogie? Roboboogie is a Portland-based customer experience optimization agency partnering closely with brands to improve conversion rates, nurture brand advocacy and increase customer value. Camp Optimization welcomes Cali Pitchel from Analytics Pros. Cali joins us this month to share her thoughts on: Why Digital Analytics Needs the Humanities. "All too often we see data as a 'capital T -- Truth, hard numbers, fact, science. But data is meaningless without interpretation, and because so much depends on that interpretation, data analysis demands things like humility, integrity, and empathy.” - Cali Pitchel, Director of Marketing Analytics Pros is a leading Google Analytics Partner and Premium Reseller helping brands like GoPro, ASICS, The New York Times, and Starbucks use data to better connect with and understand their customers. First round of beers is on us! Make sure to spread the word and don't forget to RSVP. We hope to see you there! |

May Camp Optimization (Digital Marketing Meet-Up) – Show Bar at Revolution Hall Topic: The Path to CX Omniscience - The Power (and the Potential Pitfalls) in Predicting User Frustration Imagine that you could know in real time anytime a user on your site was having a bad experience. Imagine you could know before they have a chance to get frustrated and way before they stop to reach out for help. How would this change your ability to offer support, to understand your product pitfalls and to prioritize the things on your roadmap? In this month's talk Agata Bugaj, Sr. Director of Product Management at FullStory, will discuss the future of AI in understanding and improving the customer experience, and some of the pitfalls to look out for along the way. Come network with Portland's top digital marketing, design and optimization professionals at the Show Bar located at Washington High School in Suite 101 on the first floor. Don't forget to RSVP and spread the word. First round of drinks is on us with an RSVP! |
