OpenHack Machine Learning
through Pure Space

RSVP required.

December 11-13, 2018 Portland, OR

Join us for three days of fun-filled, hands-on hacking where you will team up with colleagues, industry peers, and Microsoft experts to tackle scenarios influenced by common, real-world problems using Microsoft platform capabilities and other industry leading technologies. OpenHack Machine Learning event focuses on problems in the computer vision space and allows developers to leverage Python image processing libraries as well as machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, CNTK or TensorFlow.

During OpenHack you will have the opportunity to:

• Hack on challenges designed to leave you with the skills and expertise needed to deploy your solution. • Network with fellow industry peers and other professional developers from large enterprises as well as Microsoft engineers. • Get answers to your technology and workplace project questions from Microsoft and industry experts. • Take advantage of the limited number of 1-hour envisioning sessions to work side-by-side with Microsoft experts on your own workplace projects. These sessions are available on a first come, first served basis.

OpenHack is Free!

This is a free event. Food, refreshments, and swag will be provided to attendees.

No one likes to deal with traffic and parking. To make your commute to OpenHack a bit easier, attendees will receive $50 in Uber credits. In addition, two Xbox One X consoles will be raffled off at the event.

To be successful and maximize the value of OpenHack, a basic understanding of computer vision, Python, and data structures would be a big plus. We don't expect you to be an expert, so be prepared to roll up your sleeves and participate in an interactive team environment.

Get Your Head in the Cloud: Tech Talk with Chris Thompson
The Tech Academy

You have probably heard a lot of talk about "the cloud" lately. You may have even used some cloud based resources. But what is the cloud exactly?

Chris Thompson is a machine learning engineer and a certified Google Cloud Architect. Join us as we discuss core cloud concepts and how to integrate them into your tech repertoire!

The discussion will revolve around what problems it is solving for companies, how it is changing developer workflows, and why you should start using it as quickly as possible. There will be a live demo as well as a survey of the different certification options available. These certifications can be a great way to help you stand out to prospective employers.

Join us virtually on July 16th at 1pm PT, 2pm MT, 3pm CT, and 4pm ET in our Google Meet Room.

Demonstration of MLOps on Google Cloud Platform with Christopher Thompson
The Tech Academy

Join MLOps Engineer Chris Thompson as he shows you how easy it is to go from idea to production using Vertex AI on the Google Cloud Platform.

With the knowledge that roughly 90% of machine learning models never make it to production, Google Cloud has been working hard developing its Vertex AI platform to streamline the MLOps process.

Vertex AI provides services that allow machine learning practitioners to train, deploy, and manage production machine learning models and associated data and artifacts.

Join us Friday June 24th at 1pm Pacific Time (2pm MT, 3pm CT, 4pm ET) in our Google Meet Room.

Can't make it live? We will be posting the recording to our Tech Talks playlist on our YouTube Channel:
