PanelistsEric Rosenfeld - Co-Founder & Ringleader, Oregon Angel Fund Eric launched the Oregon Angel Fund with Bob Ward in 2007 to combine the collective wisdom and horsepower of a select group of active, accomplished angel investors with the rigor and discipline of a venture fund. OAF has since grown to become the most active local venue for funding startups in terms of both participants and dollars invested – OAF and its 200+ investors have placed over $30M with 40 local startups that now employ over 2,000 people. Previously, Eric co-founded Capybara Ventures, was a principal owner of Second Story Interactive Studios, and director of corporate business development for Mentor Graphics. Eric also worked as a technology and industry analyst for SRI International and was a research fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In addition to serving on several portfolio company boards, Eric is board chair of the Catlin Gabel School, and past chair of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation, the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network, and Angel Oregon. Rob is CEO at Galois, an R&D Services company located in Portland Oregon, focused on trusted systems; making information technology systems work as intend, only as intended. In addition, Rob runs an angel investing and startup class as Professor of Entrepreneurship at Willamette University that was selected as one of the top 10 entrepreneurship courses in the country by Inc Magazine. Prior to joining Galois, Dr. Wiltbank pursued academic research on angel investing returns and entrepreneurial expertise. He received the 2013 Hans Severeins Award, a national award from the United States angel investment community, for his work and service to the field of angel investing. He is co-author of two books, Effectual Entrepreneurship and The Catalyst, as well as many academic articles. The Catalyst was selected by BusinessWeek as a top 10 leadership book in the year of its release, and focuses on entrepreneurship in organizations.
