Portland GEAR Con (Steampunk Expo) through Crowne Plaza Hotel Portland’s Gaslight Explorers, Adventurers, & Romantics Convention (Portland GEAR Con) is three days of steampunk celebration in Inner Northeast Portland. Doors and walk-in registration open at noon on Friday, 7/23; programming runs all day and evening entertainments begin at 8pm nightly. Register to consort with fellow enthusiasts; attend presentations and workshops by authors and other steampunk community luminaries; shop for costumes, props, and other para-industrial paraphernalia; enjoy musical and variety performances, and much more.
