Annual SEC & FASB Accounting Update

Join us on Thursday, January 19 for an SEC & FASB Accounting Update which will include an additional deep-dive session on the current hot topics, revenue recognition and leasing.

You will learn about current SEC and FASB hot topics, evolving guidance on fair value, asset impairments, revenue recognition, and other current financial reporting topics. An update from the AICPA/SEC conference held in December will also be discussed.

Topics will include: • Recent fair value reporting activities and other issues from the “credit crisis” and market conditions • Recent SEC activities including guidance on recent comments, international financial reporting, and non-GAAP financial measures and management’s discussion and analysis • FASB and EITF update including leasing, financial instruments and revenue recognition projects

This session features Teresa Iannaconi, a senior technical partner at KPMG based in New York, who serves in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Practice Advisory group and is the partner in charge of KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice – Knowledge Sharing.

Terry specializes in advising clients on significant reporting matters. She provides a broad range of support in connection with firm and client interactions with the SEC. As part of the SEC and Practice Advisory group, she also provides accounting technical support throughout KPMG.
