Ever heard of Computer Sign Language Translation?
TVF&R Station 67

Ming Rutur plans to share her project research on Sign Language Recognition. What an exciting time computers can translate for us so quickly and automatically. Ming has a Github project she can share with us if you're interested.

Do you want to learn and share your passion in a supportive community? Free Knowledge Mission is an ethos of sharing, creativity, and inspiration.

Our Meetup provides an opportunity to "Show and Tell" followed by a feedback and Q&A. You'll have the opportunity to share with our channels such as Meetup, GitHub, YouTube, and Facebook to connect with more passionate people.

The second half of our session we'll collaborate on new topics. The winner wins an award for the most interesting topic and the opportunity to share in an upcoming session.

Join us online for desktop or mobile at https://zoom.us/j/7891236789

Join us at TVF&R Station 67 in Beaverton every Saturday at 11 AM for Music/Art and 1 PM for Science/Tech.

Portland Accessibility and User Experience Meetup (PDX A11Y UX) - Sign Language Cafe + accessibility office hours
Woodstock Cafe

About

The Woodstock Cafe is a nonprofit, Deaf-operated business that serves Deaf and hearing customers. ASL (American Sign Language) is appreciated, but it is not necessary to attend or order. Attendees are encouraged to support the cafe if they are able, but a purchase isn't required to attend.

Visit the cafe and feel free to bring your laptop for peer-to-peer office hours. Share questions, projects, or ideas to discuss and connect with other accessibility-minded folks! Feel free to drop in or leave at any time.

TriMet bus service, bike parking, and auto parking are available at or near the cafe. Find directions on Google or learn more about the Woodstock Deaf Cafe.

Accommodation requests

If you have any accommodation requests, don't hesitate to get in touch with us before the event to discuss.
