Description
A followup to the November meeting, this time Russell will demonstrate installing OpenWrt on a Linksys E8450, a modern Wifi 6 device available for pretty reasonable prices. He'll also demonstrate how to open the case and install an externally accessible serial console connector. If you are interested in obtaining an already OpenWrt-flashed E8450, there will be a limited supply at the event to purchase for the hardware replacement cost: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0998C9T97/
Russell Senior has been building OpenWrt from source for a variety of purposes since about 2006 and has considerable knowledge about the ins and outs and what-have-yous: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jw36ivnRHRQ
