June's Presentations
Moxley Stratton - Organizing Code Around Side Effects. What are side effects, and why should we care? Learn why it's important to make side effects obvious and separate from logic and calculations.
Brian Shirai - One of the things I've observed is a tension between Erlang/Elixir ideas about system resilience and the approach being taken by microservices. I've witnessed the struggle between ops teams striving for "immutable architecture" and Elixir devs wanting access to the running instance, even potentially want to use the hot code loading.
