During this session attendees will learn how to move beyond shell scripting and leverage cluster level APIs and distributed systems design patterns for building next generation automation tools. Through a collection of live demos and code walk throughs attendees will learn how to build automation tools such as controllers that automate the management of Let’s Encrypt TLS certificates, and schedulers that allow you to place workloads based on your rules.</p> <p><em>Kelsey Hightower has worn every hat possible throughout his career in tech, and enjoys leadership roles focused on making things happen and shipping software. Kelsey is a strong open source advocate focused on building simple tools that make people smile.
