Summary
Hadoop has come a long way from the time Yahoo open sourced an effort based on a paper produced by Google. Hadoop is a billion dollar industry and is disrupting the way the world looks at data, the value of data and the intelligence that can be gleaned from data. Wherever you are in your Hadoop learning curve, you’ll likely learn something from this presentation. Even if you are brand new (perhaps especially if you are new), this is a great time to get some exposure, learn about Haddoop’s capabilities and see how to get started. It’s not scary.
Simultaneously, the in-memory revolution is moving towards mainstream adoption. Sudhir will talk about how you can move past OLTP and OLAP and embrace OLEP (Online Everything Processing) and what that means to the way we build cloud scale applications AND deliver value to customers in ways that are unprecedented and were not feasible up until now. He’ll talk about the solution characteristics and the elements of the technology stack that allow you to build these kinds of applications. Don’t miss this opportunity.
