IxDA Portland: Toying With the Way Your Brain Works
Description
Join us (Barbara Holmes and Jeanne Turner) your fearless IxDA co-leaders as we guest lecture for the Art Institute!
We’re taking on equally fearless information design students and discussing a few aspects about how your brain works, and how we as designers toy with how your brain works. Specifically and scientifically, Barbara will cover the principles behind short-term memory processing and cognitive load. Jeanne will then flip the rules on their ass as she shares how these same principles are harnessed to provide whimsy and delight in the best iPhone and iPad apps. Join us for a fun, interactive session. And be prepared to share your insights with students eager to hear from working pros like you.
