Description
Portland Net Tuesday June
Tuesday, June 24, 2008
Net Tuesday monthly events here in Portland are taking hold! The fourth Tuesday of each month, social changemakers and web innovators get together to network, mix, swap stories and ideas, build new relationships and learn at these Net Tuesdays, produced by NetSquared, a project of TechSoup. All those interested, involved, or employed in nonprofits and that recognize the importance and utility of technology in the sector are invited to join us for discussion and exchange. Join the group online to stay up to date and collaborate!
The June 24th event will focus on two great tools:
Squarepeg: Squarepeg is a communication tool for people who use the Internet to organize around social causes. We believe that change is social, that relationships are the heart of the social sector, and that organizations and individuals will interact more efficiently and persuasively if they use Squarepeg to leverage those connections.
connec+ipedia: People who are working to make a better world learn a lot as we do our work. How do you store what you learn? Are you always able to access it when you need it again? How do you pass it on to others? Imagine what would happen if you had a way to share what you know. Imagine what you could accomplish if you had an easy and direct way to access what others have learned who are doing similar work.
