description	nil	→	<p><b>Rock, Paper, Scissors</b></p> <p>Your mission, should you chose to accept it, is to generate a program that plays a game of rock 0, paper 1, or scissors 2. no random functions allowed! the program should be entirely deterministic. (in other words if your program plays against the same opponent program more than once the sequence of moves should be the same.) your program will receive a list of your opponent's previous moves, your previous moves, and the round number; there will be 1000 rounds per match. The tournament will be round robin format, the program with the greatest number of victories will be declared the rock paper scissors champion.</p> <p> <b>PDX Magic Night</b></p> <p>Magic Night is a hands on, team oriented, Javascript coding lab, welcoming of all experience levels and backgrounds. We get together because coding is fun; fun to solve hard problems, and fun to work together. We organize into small teams to code up creative solutions to a common challenge, then after 3 hours of building, present to the group.</p>

This is a great opportunity to cross boundaries and broaden networks in a safe space. IntraEdge Technology Service & Solutions is happy to host us at Compass Coffee Roasting. If you’d like to start your Sunday off with a casual networking event, join us! The event is geared towards those who “find ourselves at the edges of the bell curve of demographics in tech fields,” as Brittany Newhouse so eloquently put it. Don’t be intimidated by the Lean Coffee format; it’s not just for Agile practitioners. It’s simply an informal way to meet and discuss what interests and affects us. The meetup will run from 8:30-10 a.m. Be there early to make your order before we start; coffee and snacks will be provided. This event is sponsored by PDXWIT, AgilePDX and Portland Lean Coffee. Purpose:<br> PDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization. Our purpose is to strengthen the Portland women in tech community by offering educational programs, partnerships, mentorships, resources and opportunities. We are unifying a supportive environment for current and potential women in tech, all of whom are committed to helping each other. Our goal is to bring together and empower women in tech and to encourage others to pursue tech careers. This is our step towards reducing the gender imbalance in the industry and addressing the current negative effects of that imbalance on women. Trans and non-binary people are always welcome at our events.

description	nil	→	Shamanism is an ancient technique for waking up so you can grow up and show up. Our discussion leader, Sara Violante, is a Shamanic Practitioner who specializes in normalizing Shamanic practices that can often feel uncomfortable or foreign in our modern, western culture. She approaches her work with kindness, caring, and compassion, but also a great deal of laughter and fun. She is grounded and down to earth and is sensitive to how uncomfortable people new to Shamanic work can feel. If you are unfamiliar with Shamanic work, or uncomfortable with spiritual work, come and learn a little about it in a relaxed atmosphere with no judgment. Sara’s training has included individual instruction with a Shamanic Practitioner, mentoring by an energy healer in Europe, and formal training through a Shamanic Practitioner Program that included vision quest.
