We take cards. - Nametags and pronoun stickers will be available at check-in. - Donut.js logo stickers and enamel pins also available at check-in. - All talks are live-captioned by Mirabai Knight of Steno Knight. - Two all-gender, stall-only restrooms are available. - Event is on the second floor. Elevator is available. - 3.5′-wide physical access lanes will be taped on the floor throughout the venue. - We'll have donuts! We have donuts for omnivores from Delicious Donuts and combination gluten-free-vegan donuts from Back to Eden Bakery. - A few other snacks (pretzels, vegan+gluten-free chips) will be available. - LaCroix soda and water will be available. - We have a Code of Conduct and require that all staff, speakers, attendees, and venue staff abide by it: https://donutjs.club/conduct/ - A hard copy of our Code of Conduct will be posted at the check-in, by the refreshments, and in each of the bathrooms. ## Our Nonprofit Beneficiary Our proceeds each quarter go to a local non-profit. In April, June, and July, we are raising money for [Community Vision](https://cvision.org/), whose mission is to make Oregon a place where disabled people can live, work, and thrive in the communities of their choice.

description	nil	→	Monthly meeting of the Portland open source GIS group. Projects big and small are usually presented monthly along with rousing conversation and discussion. All are welcome, no need to RSVP - our group ranges from the geo-curious to the überhackers so bring your ideas and questions! We have a couple of really interesting topics this month: - We'll check out "Mapping Inequality" [1], a project out of University of Richmond, University of Maryland, Virginia Tech and John Hopkins. The project uses Leaflet and CartoDB to display georeferenced maps and redlining data from in the late 30's - with a focus on redlining and abrasive, unfiltered racist language that has directly influenced the formation of neighborhoods today. - We also have a very cool spatial analysis presentation from Kevin that will show how he used PostGIS, QGIS and Geopy to calculate the most remote locations in Oregon and Washington, along the lines of what Project Remote [2] has been doing for the whole lower 48. Kevin's project also used Leaflet, MapboxGL JS and Turf for visualization. We'll also cover the latest happenings in geodata, upcoming geoevents and bring your own geo-show and tell, so if you see something interesting in your geo-travels be sure to bring it along to share!
