We’ll have a short presentation on negotiations.
We’re also looking for volunteers to participate in the resume and portfolio reviews, as well as the mock interviews. If you’re interested, please select “Volunteer” in the registration process. If you are volunteering and would also like to participate in the event, please only register once so we have an accurate headcount.

Q: Will there be gender neutral restrooms?
A: Yes, on the 2nd, mezzanine, and 3rd floors.
Q: Is the space ADA accessible?
A: All the floors are ADA compliant and the space is accessible via an elevator, but the building elevators are not up to ADA code (wheel in and turn around).
Q: Will there be food and drink at this event?
A: Yes
Q: What is the parking situation?
A: There is no onsite parking.
Q: Is there any special information that might help me find the entrance?
A: The main entrance to the building is on SW 5th Ave.
Q: Is there secured bike parking?
A: Yes
Q: Should I consider using public transportation?
A: Yes, attendees are strongly encouraged to use public transportation.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: No, we ask that you leave your furry friend home. Please note there may be office pets present at this event.
Purpose:
PDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization. Our purpose is to strengthen the Portland women in tech community by offering educational programs, partnerships, mentorships, resources and opportunities. We are unifying a supportive environment for current and potential women in tech, all of whom are committed to helping each other. Our goal is to bring together and empower women in tech and to encourage others to pursue tech careers. This is our step towards reducing the gender imbalance in the industry and addressing the current negative effects of that imbalance on women.

Led by Elizabeth Robillard, VP of Business Development at Usermind (www.usermind.com) and principal of consultancy at Negotiating at Work (www.negotiatingatwork.com) for practical advice on how to negotiate for yourself more effectively. Whether you are looking for new opportunities, a promotion or a raise, this brief talk will offer some concrete strategies on how to reach your goals.
