Led by Elizabeth Robillard, VP of Business Development at Usermind (<a href="http://www.usermind.com">www.usermind.com</a>) and principal of consultancy at Negotiating at Work (<a href="http://www.negotiatingatwork.com">www.negotiatingatwork.com</a>) for practical advice on how to negotiate for yourself more effectively. Whether you are looking for new opportunities, a promotion or a raise, this brief talk will offer some concrete strategies on how to reach your goals.</p> <p>We’re also looking for volunteers to participate in the resume and portfolio reviews, as well as the mock interviews. If you’re interested, please select “Volunteer” in the registration process. Please note there may be office pets present at this event.</p> <p>Purpose:</p> <p>PDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization. Our purpose is to strengthen the Portland women in tech community by offering educational programs, partnerships, mentorships, resources and opportunities. We are unifying a supportive environment for current and potential women in tech, all of whom are committed to helping each other. Our goal is to bring together and empower women in tech and to encourage others to pursue tech careers. This is our step towards reducing the gender imbalance in the industry and addressing the current negative effects of that imbalance on women.</p> <p>Our events are inclusive.
