This hands-on workshop cuts through the hype and focuses on what AI can genuinely do for real people in real workflows. Led by Scott Hanselman (VP, Developer Community at Microsoft), the session is practical, grounded, and interactive.
We'll look at:
- Large vs. small language models, and when model size actually matters
- NPUs and edge AI, and how to think critically about AI performance claims
- Practical productivity patterns that reduce toil instead of adding it
- How to spot inflated claims and avoid the grift
