Monthly PLUG Linux Clinic

Ecotrust (Jean Vollum Natural Capital Center)
721 NW Ninth Ave
Portland, Oregon 97209, US (map)

The Willamette University space is on the second floor. You may enter the building through the Hot Lips Pizza, facing the parking lot adjacent to 10th Avenue. The stairway to the 2nd floor is gated, but that should be unlocked (if not, look for a PLUG notice with a Penguin and a phone number you can SMS to get let in). The elevator should work. The off-street parking adjacent to 10th Avenue is "open to the public on weekends", but probably safest to pick the slots marked Guest, if available.

Optionally, pizza is available on premises, other food options are available nearby.

Description

That PLUG Clinic you like is coming back into style!

Portland Linux/Unix Group has run a monthly Clinic to help people with their Linux computers through most of its 30 year life. The Clinic has been on hiatus since the last one on March 2020, for obvious reasons and then for lack of a venue. However, this month that has changed, through a generous offer from Willamette University to use their space in the Ecotrust Building in NW Portland. In addition to help with your everyday Linux computer, this month we will also have someone from the PostmarketOS community on hand to help install Linux on your Android or other supported or perhaps semi-supported devices.

If you need help, or want to offer help, you are welcome!
