Ever wonder what the hiring manager on the other side of the table, phone screening, or video interview is thinking? This is your chance to ask a panel of hiring managers and tech recruiters ANY job search-related question. This is a safe space with no judgement. No question is off limits! Should I state my desired salary? Is it too soon to send another follow up email? What do I do if I don’t know the answer? What are the most common mistakes candidates make? We’ll kick off the event with a few questions to get the conversation rolling, then it's open to anyone in the audience to ask a question. Come ask the experts who have seen it all!

The event will be moderated by Asia Kane of Opal and will include the following panelists from Portland’s technology community:

Purpose:

PDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization. Our purpose is to strengthen the Portland women in tech community by offering educational programs, partnerships, mentorships, resources and opportunities. We are unifying a supportive environment for current and potential women in tech, all of whom are committed to helping each other. Our goal is to bring together and empower women in tech and to encourage others to pursue tech careers. This is our step towards reducing the gender imbalance in the industry and addressing the current negative effects of that imbalance on women.

Our events are inclusive. ALL people who support our purpose are welcome.
