In honor of his great accomplishment, parties are held worldwide every year to celebrate humanity’s progress in space.</p> <p>As part of this international celebration, PSAS is hosting a “space race” with challenges and games, technology displays from local rocketry and space groups, engineering labs open to visitors, and food and beverages provided. We will also be screening the film First Orbit, a reconstruction of what Yuri would have seen on his journey.</p> <p>The event will be held on April 12 from 6:30-9:30 in the Engineering Building of PSU (1930 SW 4th Ave Portland, OR 97201, at the intersection of SW 4th and College).
