Understanding the principles of how Unix works is essential to being an effective developer.</p> <p>In this one-day workshop, you will be introduced to Git and Unix and get up to speed on concepts and workflows in no time. You will discover how working in the command line isn't all that scary, understand how to move between projects with just a few key strokes, and gain confidence with the steps involved for a common Git branching strategy. In addition, you will learn the brief history of Unix and some of the underlying philosophy of the Unix and Unix-like operating systems.</p> <p>Cloning isn't just for sheep and galactic empires.
