We, the Founders of Portland know in our core that through diversity comes strength. We know kindness, consideration and collaboration is true power. We know reading, learning and knowledge is leveling up. We know that truth, trust and honesty is a cornerstone of community. We the Founders of Portland know that equity is the quality of being fair and just, especially in a way that takes account of and seeks to address existing inequalities. So it goes, when you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.
