It's that time of year when we start to reflect and plan for the year ahead. LearnLife + PDXWIT want to help you roadmap your goals and connect with a community to champion your progress.

The format: we'll share proven methods, highlighted in The Power of Habit and Drive, to help you identify and roadmap your own goals. Then we will collaborate as a group to create champion connections — then we can hold each other accountable to achieving them.

    Purpose:

PDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization. Our purpose is to strengthen the Portland women in tech community by offering educational programs, partnerships, mentorships, resources and opportunities. We are unifying a supportive environment for current and potential women in tech, all of whom are committed to helping each other. Our goal is to bring together and empower women in tech and to encourage others to pursue tech careers. This is our step towards reducing the gender imbalance in the industry and addressing the current negative effects of that imbalance on women.

Our events are inclusive. ALL people who support our purpose are welcome.

PDX Women in Tech (PDXWIT) Happy Hour Networking Event

    Moovel

Please RSVP on Eventbrite - https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pdx-women-in-tech-pdxwit-happy-hour-networking-event-tickets-32394049474

Join us for happy hour at moovel! We know that everyone uses tech tools on a daily basis to conduct your life, so we decided to explore this topic as it relates to your career. At this event, the theme will be “Simple machines: using your tools to leverage your career” and the conversation starter will be “What’s your favorite tech tool?”

While the event is primarily intended for networking, we will have a short segment at 5:30 with the goal of sharing important announcements and showcasing women in our community who are doing great things.

Introduction to moovel, including what they do and how you can support them.

Learn how Farrah Campbell, Customer and People Operations at Reflect.io, makes connections with others and the tools that help her.

Caito Scherr, Software Engineer at New Relic, will tell us about the tools and advice that has helped her achieve her career goals and break into tech from a non-technical background.

Remember, throughout the event we will have an Activity Table for people who want to create during the event. This is a fantastic way to meet others if large groups are not your thing.
