Roll back
description |
Let's experiment new technology for relationship!
WELCOME! Welcome to world of communication!
You are so smart to read this. This is one of my answer to âIs there easier and cooler way to learn communication?â.
I had so many troubles about communication. Human being science developed so much. There must be new technology and practice to make things easier even cool way for me.
I as Tree huger computer system engineer fascinated by transpersonal psychology and Process Oriented Ecology, Non Violent Communication and Deep Democracy. And I would like to mesh up and introduce for cool technical people.
And as you know, communication is important!
This new technology to inspire you about communication and team work is well designed for people who are very functioning in technical area and interested in improving communication skills and art.
Organizer: Jiro Isetani
I am a student of Master of Art in Conflict Facilitation and Organizational Change at The Process Work Institute. I'm mainly from Japan living in Portland since 1996. This is a part of my final project. |

SXSW Interactive 2011: Portland Pre-party
Roll back
description |

→ |
SXSW Interactive is very excited to announce our first confirmed pre-event parties happening on the West Coast in January. We have a plan to throw a bash in as many cities as we can before the event happens in March. What does this mean to you? If you are a current SXSW badgeholder (or are just interested in SXSW Interactive) and you live on one of the cities we're visiting January and February of 2011, you should join us to meet others in your community and learn more about the event from SXSW Interactive staffers.
For now, we know we are definitely coming to Portland, OR on Tuesday January 11, 2011. Join us at the Doug Fir Lounge at 830 East Burnside Street by RSVPing today. Be there early for the Town Hall featuring SXSW staffers answering your questions about the event from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm or for the festivities from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (events will take place in the Lounge area). |

A new meetup for data herders focusing on distributed databases, scaling, and any related data or messaging systems.
The first presentation will be by Michael Schurter on MongoDB, particularly the pros and cons Urban Airship has discovered while running half a dozen MongoDB servers.
Beer and possibly snacks will be provided by Urban Airship.
The name is TBD but will not contain any buzzwords starting with "No" or "Big". This meetup is intended to be a community sharing their experiences with systems in production environments, not just pitching the latest new thing. |

Youâve got your Twitter, Linkedin, and Facebook accounts. Youâve even set up a blog and youâre doing the occasional video. Youâve learned the technology, but have you learned how to be successfully social on social media?
Just knowing the technology and being on social media isnât enough. People want more than your latest information blast. Do you know the successful social media behaviors that will help you create business relationships?
In this two hour class youâll discover what it means to be successfully social and why just being on social media isnât enough if you want to get business from social media sites. Youâll learn the following:
* How to write a successful invitation that invites a response.
* What social media behavior is and why you need to know it.
* How to interact on social media without making it look like its marketing.
