Happy 2024! We're kicking off the year with such a cool activity: serving as judges for the semi-finals of PSU's Cleantech Challenge. This student-led pitch competition is run by the school's Center for Entrepreneurship, an incredible organization that has swiftly become near and dear to the hearts of many in the Climate Curious flock.
The ask is simple - just bring your passion for climate innovation, your ears, and your phone. You'll listen to students pitch ideas for businesses and products they'd like to build, and give live feedback about what you think is really working best with each idea. At the end, we'll vote for the ones we think have the most potential and the top students will advance to the final round.
That may sound familiar to those who joined us last year. BUT WAIT - this year there's a new twist. As mentorship sponsors of the Cleantech Challenge, we'll be asking Climate Curious members to volunteer to advise the student teams that advance to the finals. This is a phenomenal opportunity for us to support the creators of Portland's climate future. We'll share more info about what mentorship will look like at the event, so for now, just put this thought in your back pocket so it starts to feel comfy.
So please help us get the word out about this one, and consider sharing a few hours of your time to enrich future climate innovators. Let's pack the audience and support PSU students! |

Due to weather, PSU has shut down their campus, and therefore we're moving the Cleantech Challenge pitch competition event from in-person to Zoom. We're still very excited to hear what the students have been cooking up, so please follow these steps to join:
