create Calagator::Event 1250478106 Sunset and RFCs Roll back

description nil Sunset will re-occur again at the same time again tommorrow, and every day, namely at the 12th hour. However, due to the inadequacy of our horological technology, the clock so-called "time" keeps moving with respect to it. Therefore the clock has to be continually recalibrated, and this is an unnecessary problem that is, due to an inherent design flaw in our industrial engineering, and unavoidable fact of modern so-called "life" and of the Roman empire generally. The basic problem is that "midnight" is not an astronomically observable event, and neither is the "meridum". Therefore they should not be the basis for our horological calculations. Unfortunately, the ISO and the Roman empire want us all dependent on their astrological fictions so that their priesthood remains in authority, and their factory bosses can keep us under their thumb, by telling us what to do when. This is unnecessary, and we should stop complying with it. I hereby declare the clock to be deprecated. Furthermore, I declare sundown to be the beginning of the new day. By the way, the sun is not "god", but it is a fact of nature. Also, it is a tangential issue to the one at hand, but lunacy is worthy of consideration. I pledge $92 to anyone who can invent a reliable handheld horological device that can tell me what hour it is, any time of year, for the latitude and longitude of Portland, Oregon. Version 2.0 will abstract the calculations to cover an arbitrary latitude and longitude. If anyone can implement version 2.0 as a bash utility, and get it integrated with the Linux kernel and distribted with a GNU/Linux operating system, I will pay your $95, with or without the handheld. There is no need for 24 hours every day. Why are we requiring this? It is almost as stupid as legislating an official decimal expansion of pi. We could have more or less hours per day depending on the season. The full day should have 24 hours only at the equinoctii. Since I like to take siestas in the summer, and wake up at midnight in winter. Therefore, the hours should expand and contract accordingly. Every day should have exactly 12 hours of daylight, and this is not presently occuring. Hello!? We are totally contrary to nature, and most other species of animal are far more intelligent than us in this regard. We are not operating according to the design of nature. And the natural design is considerably better than the designs of the pyrrhonnical ignoramuses and logical positivists have incoherently collaborated in inventing, in the name of clockwork and so-called "cognitive science", to which we must protest. This is a Request For Comments, and I would like the IEEE, the W3C, and other standards bodies to adopt it as an official recommendation. I declare a boycott on employment, and on all interviews with tech recruiters until they can find a start-up to include this perk in my compensation package. I invite you all to join me in this boycott. This makes much more sense than daylight savings, stock options, wage slavery, or a pie eating contest in which the prize for winning is more pie. Thanks for your consideration.
