The Personal Telco Project will be installing devices recovered from the failed MetroFi network on two houses adjacent to Arbor Lodge Park in North Portland. We will be installing two SkyPilot devices (salvaged from the failed MetroFi project) to begin construction of an Arbor Lodge Community Network. The work on Saturday will be partly mechanical, physically mounting things with wrenches and ladders. It'll be partly digital, configuring the hardware settings. You can help with your hands and your heads. Bring cameras to help document what we do. It's your network: pitch in, help and learn! |
