This month Kurtis Holsapple will be sharing "Tips and Tricks with New(ish) PHP Features"
"Do you work with Laravel? What about WordPress? My guess is that you've at least heard of these two tools.
We work with these two platforms a whole bunch, and some of the latest features that were recently released into PHP make working with these two platforms so much more enjoyable.
* Null Safe Operator in Laravel -> So many fewer conditionals!
* PHP Arrow Functions in Wordpress Hooks -> Your functions.php will be less bloated!
We'll be looking at some slides, but mostly we'll be live coding to show how these new syntax features can make your life easier. |
