Unit testing is an important skill in software development, empowering developers to test new features while confidently maintaining existing functionality. In this hands-on workshop, we will write unit tests for a small Java program using JUnit and Mockito. We will discuss how to make a program "testable", how to use mocks and assertions, and share tips for debugging. This workshop will be conducted in Java, but is appropriate for any developer interested in unit testing.

## OUR INSTRUCTOR
Gaby is a Lead Engineer at Airship, where she leads the SMS messaging project. She has been coding for 8 years in various languages, but enjoys Java the most. You can find Gaby on Twitter at @gabyreilly, where she mostly retweets dog videos, Magic the Gathering cosplay, and Dungeons and Dragons games.
