We can always find excuses to avoid working on our financial plan. It’s boring. It’s confusing. I’ll do it next week. I don’t have the money. This is a huge problem. In a world where women earn less money than men and spend, on average, eleven fewer years in the workforce, women have to plan and work harder than their male counterparts. No more excuses! It’s time to take ahold of financial planning so that you can make clear, confident money decisions that will best benefit your future.
Join us for an evening of discussion about all things personal finance. The speaker will be Amanda Holden of Invested Development, who uses humor and candor to educate women on long-term financial planning and investing. She will be available for questions after the presentation.
This event does not require any prior experience with financial planning.

PDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization. Our purpose is to strengthen the Portland women in tech community by offering educational programs, partnerships, mentorships, resources and opportunities. We are unifying a supportive environment for current and potential women in tech, all of whom are committed to helping each other. Our goal is to bring together and empower women in tech and to encourage others to pursue tech careers. This is our step towards reducing the gender imbalance in the industry and addressing the current negative effects of that imbalance on women.
