Interested in giving a talk or presenting at a conference, but not sure where to begin? Or maybe you know what you want to do, but you're nervous about something (and you're not quite sure what!) Giving talks and speaking in general can be nervewracking - but it doesn't have to be!
Join us on Feb. 15th for an evening of fun, functionality, and friendship! We're going to help you get ready to create an idea, submit a proposal to a conference CFP, and prep for your talk! This workshop is designed to help you prepare for ACT-W (Advancing the Careers of Technical Women) and the CFP that is due March 1st, but you can come even if you aren't interested in submitting a talk to ACT-W. We'll discuss the ins and outs of CFPs, how to prepare, how to pitch yourself, and how to avoid self-doubt.
