update Calagator::Event 1250468022 ACT-W Conference: Advancing the Careers of Tech Women Roll back

description Now in its third year, the annual Portland conference known for creating community, building skills, and supporting empowered women in technology is back. And not only does it have a fancy new name and branding, but it has expanded to a full weekend! This year, in partnership with the Art Institute of Portland, four Portland WIT organizations passionate about increasing the numbers of women in tech are organizing a weekend of career-building interactive booths, breakout sessions, networking, technical workshops, a career fair, and inspiration. Women of all levels of interest and involvement in tech are invited to attend. Whether you have a lot to learn or a bit to teach, we hope you join us! Stay tuned for more details; as we solidify our sessions, sponsors and partners, we will add them to this page and email you. Keep in contact with the hashtag #actwpdx! **Note: you do not have to "feel" technical to attend this conference. Any woman involved in the tech industry is welcome; there will be no tests to decide if you're technical (or "woman") "enough". Sessions: Are you interested in doing a lightning talk? Running a hands-on session? Leading a discussion? Being a speaker? We want you to help empower women in Portland! http://act-w.org/rfp Sponsorship: If you are interested in sponsoring this event and/or being a part of the career fair, please contact [email protected] for the sponsorship deck.
