To use or even understand most security tools you need a thorough understanding of mathematics which makes them inaccessible to the general public. The discipline of usability has been growing as well in the past three decades. There have been few but promising overlaps in usability and security which may provide vital tools for managing our digital selves, upholding the principal of privacy, and preserving freedom of speech. |
