update Calagator::Event 1250465038 PSU-TAO Cleanweb Hack Roll back

description Are you a talented developer, designer, or have an idea to protect our environment? PSU-TAO Cleanweb Hack are hosting the first CleanWeb Hack and will bring together developers, designers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and students to illuminate the opportunities for creating new efficiency in energy, buildings, waste and water. The event will bring together talent and technology resources to explore the intersection of information technology (web, social, mobile) and issues related to climate change and global resource constraints focusing on energy, waster, transportation and sustainability. This will be one of the first hackathons in the country to take advantage of the U.S. Department of Energy’s new API for its building performance database. Additional DOE datasets that will be available to attendees include datasets pertaining to energy, solar, and utility rates. The Cleanweb Hack represents the first of what will likely be a regular series of collaborative efforts between the tech industry and academia in Oregon. This is also a "tech laboratory” where students will work alongside professionals to apply their knowledge. Participants will spend one day hacking in small teams to create radical new solutions across key Cleanweb sectors and will present their creations to a panel of judges.
