The Oregon Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HiMSS) today announced the date of their latest Tech Talk entitled âInfrastructure as a Service and Cloud Computing in Healthcareâ
Presenters will include John McDaniel, National Practice Leader with NetAppâs Healthcare Provider Segment, and Sonney Sapra, CIO for Tuality Healthcare.
âBig data is a big thing in healthcare today, and the next critical success factor we need to be prepared for is analyticsâ stated Brian Ahier, Health IT Evangelist at Mid-Columbia Medical Center. âNow that we have digitized much of our health data and begun exchanging and aggregating it, we need the business intelligence tools and analytics capabilities to make good use of this massive data set. This event will combine solutions with real world implementation, looking at the challenges and successes in moving towards the next frontier in health information technology."
