create Calagator::Event 1250464263 Selecting and Implementing the Right Volunteer Management System Roll back

description nil
NOTE: This event will not be held on the first Wednesday of the month as per usual. Event moved to July 10 due to the holiday.

Intended for small and volunteer run nonprofits, this presentation dispels the mystery surrounding the selection and implementation of a volunteer management system. The first half of the presentation outlines a series of steps, in lay terms, which organizations should follow when selecting a volunteer management system. The second half of the presentation gives attendees a roadmap to move their organization off their old volunteer management system and onto the newly selected system.

Choosing a volunteer management system can, actually, be a relatively straightforward process. “Geek Speak” and “Tech Talk” will be left at the door as attendees are walked through the mechanics of how to select a volunteer management system that will meet the unique needs of their organization.

The fun really begins once the selection process has been completed and an organization is gearing up to put in the new system. Attendees will gain a broad understanding of the steps required to successfully put in a new volunteer management system and will learn about common issues and how to address them.

Key Takeaways Include:

A step by step process for selecting the right volunteer management system

A roadmap for moving to the new volunteer management system

Common selection and implementation issues and how to avoid them

Stop by for discussion, networking with the nonprofit tech crowd and refreshments!

About the presenter

Jeff Turner, PMP is the Principal at NPO Back Office, a company specializing in supporting the technology needs of small and volunteer run nonprofits.
