Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth at OSCON last week. We received lots of great feedback on our new [online engagement platform](https://democracylab.herokuapp.com), aspiring to revolutionize the nature of political dialogue.
We’d like to invite you to join us for a hack session, led by founder Mark Frischmuth and lead developer Bjorn Freeman-Benson. We’ll describe our vision for the platform, get you set up with [github](https://github.com/bnfb/DemocracyLab), pair program to learn the [technologies under the hood](http://democracylab.org/participate/web-developers/), and get you on your way towards being part of the project. The event will be held next Thursday, August 2nd, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Green Dragon at 928 SE 9th Ave in Portland.
