Noelle has spoken at Google’s Women in ML summit as well as delivered keynotes for many Google sponsored events and was awarded the Women in AI Award for Responsibility and Ethics in AI from VentureBeat.

Our career successes don’t happen in a vacuum. During this Black History & Futures Happy Hour, we’ll explore the vital role that community and networks play in the career journey.
We will feature dynamic lightning talks by Dr. Amber Lenon, Astrophysicist and Data Analyst at iRobot, as well as Tanisha Payne, Software Engineer at Puppet. We’ll also highlight some Black-led organizations in the PNW and beyond.
In keeping with the theme of community, this month we’ll be holding more space for community networking–but you don’t have to wait until then to meet someone new! Connect with folks in the chat throughout the event as well.

Women Who Code Portland and LaunchCode are thrilled to present a cross-country online series focused on women in tech exchanging stories, building connections, and supporting each other in their careers. The series will be called "Tech Stories: Women Sharing Their Journeys" and it will take place the last Tuesday of the month.
Each session will feature a conversation with a woman in a senior tech role. Our speakers will talk openly about their current role, their journey, and what their day-to-day work lives are like. We will alternate speakers from the Portland and St Louis communities.

Martha has been a Human-Centered Design consultant for the past 15 years, with a focus on the financial industry. She has collaborated on strategy, experience, and interaction design with business stakeholders, development teams, and users to create or improve processes and experiences. She is the President of the St. Louis Experience Design organization (STLX) and occasionally teaches UX at LaunchCode's CoderGirl. An artist advocate and prolific painter in her free time, she recently founded I Need That Art, where she connects artists with buyers. Martha is presently a Human-Centered Design Lead at 1904labs.
