    PDX Women In Tech (PDXWIT) Technical Leadership Q&A with Selena Deckelmann

    RSVP here - https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pdx-women-in-tech-pdxwit-technical-leadership-qa-with-selena-deckelmann-tickets-30992431196

    The more technical the role, the less women you see in positions of leadership. For this reason, it is important to bring women in these positions to the forefront to share their stories, experiences and answer your questions. Join us for a Q&A session with Selena Deckelmann, Head of Firefox Security Engineering at Mozilla with nearly two decades of experience in tech as a contributor, leader, advocate and organizer. Come prepared for an open and honest dialog.

    6:00 - Arrive, gather food/drink

    6:30 - Quick Welcome from Cedexis

    6:35 - Introduction by Selena, followed by Q&A

    Purpose: PDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization. Our purpose is to strengthen the Portland women in tech community by offering: educational programs, partnerships, mentorships, resources and opportunities. We are unifying a supportive environment for current and potential women in tech, all of whom are committed to helping each other. Our goal is to bring together and empower women in tech and to encourage others to pursue tech careers. This is our step towards reducing the gender imbalance in the industry and addressing the current negative effects of that imbalance on women.

    Trans and non-binary people are always welcome at our events.

    Portland C++ User's Group (PDXCPP)

    The Portland C++ User's Group is an opportunity to meet and mingle with C++ programmers. We often have presentations, updates about the C++ standard, talk about projects and new discoveries, and generally have a good time! Come join us for pizza and a beverage while you geek out about modern C++!
