Portland's Hackerspace.
Access Notes
The entrance for the space is on the backside of the building in the alley -- NOT at the mailing address. See this satellite view for clarification: http://bit.ly/8Arvpt
You must go down the alley behind the building. There is a large white garage door - that is BrainSilo. The BrainSilo sign will usually be hanging up as well.

ThursdaySep 18 2014Brain Silo Open House
Thursday is open house. This is when members gather and can open the door for you. We know we can be there by 7pm, but most of the time we are hours early. We don't have a opening ceremony, or any formal meeting, its a time for you to eavesdrop on other people's projects and work on something that you may need help with. Bring your inventions, your technical toys and your broken microwave to Brain Silo and Hack with friends.

ThursdayJul 24 2014BrainSilo Open House
BrainSilo is Portland's oldest hackerspace. We're a diverse group of people who love making things and sharing what we know. Stop by the open house and say hi, or hack on something.
BrainSilo has a growing collection of awesome tools and equipment at our space, including 3D printers, oscilloscopes, woodworking tools and whiteboards. We're interested in everything from 3D printers to opsec and cryptocurrencies.

SundayApr 21 2013DIYBio Microbial Fuel Cells
Take a look at the link for more details - feel free to come and see what were doing. We'll probably have a short General DIYBio meeting before and then make the cells. Sadly we probably only have enough materials for our meetup group, but anyone is more than welcome to come.
Also, were looking for a way to stream data from the cells online such as voltage generated and CO2 levels. If anyone has any interest in lending a hand that would be awesome!

TuesdayFeb 22 2011e-Textile and Wearable Electronics Workshop
"If you’re interested in soft circuits and wearable electronics, I’ve got great news. ...I’ll be kicking off a new series of bi-weekly eTextile open worksessions at BrainSilo.
This isn’t a structured class or workshop, more of a regular time to get together and talk eTextiles, work on projects, learn new skills, etc. I’ll be bringing at least one current project that I’m working on, as well as lots of resources, and I’ll have some basic kits available for sale for anyone just getting started."

WednesdayJan 26 2011Exploit Workshop
The exploit workshop happens every Wednesday night at 7pm in the BrainSilo hackerspace in Portland, Oregon. The purpose of the exploit workshop is to provide an encouraging environment to hang out and improve your skills at writing exploits. Ideally we will be looking at the exploitability of bugs in osvdb that mention that an exploit is commercially available or rumored, but is not publicly available. Challenges are being created every week to encourage looking at some existing exploit code, as well as fully understanding and automating the deployment of an exploit on live systems.
