Expert presenters and facilitators will walk attendees through strategies, frameworks, and best practices of the overall lifecycle of a successful campaign--from planning to implementation. Whether one’s focus is on fundraising, advocacy, special events, or program delivery, this workshop will help attendees develop campaign strategy effectively manage a campaign, monitor and evaluate success of a campaign, and integrate campaigns and community-building for long-term impact.

Hear Shainoor Khoja, former director of corporate social responsibility at Roshan, Afghanistan's leading telecommunications firm, talk about how mobile technology moves money and other precious social commodities, like health, education and equal opportunity.

Most Afghans -- nearly 70 percent -- survive on less than $2 a day, so it's no surprise very few have bank accounts. But a substantial number -- about 17 million -- own cell phones. Harnessing Roshan’s technology edge and deep reach into the country’s most remote areas, Khoja and her team have worked to transform basic mobile phone knowledge into financial literacy.

This month we dive into the growing location-based marketing trend with geo-location tools of Foursquare, Gowalla, Whrrl, Facebook Places, and SCVNGR, and discover how they can be used to spread awareness, fundraise, build community, and engage action.

Explore how Whrrl’s Societies are used to build communities and bring like-minded people together. Use Foursquare’s “Tips” to increase consciousness and fundraise for your cause or organization.
