ThursdayJul 27 2017Code For Goodthrough
Reed CollegeCode for Good is a new annual event based in Portland where Python programmers from all over the globe get together for a long weekend to build projects that help our communities. In 2017 the event will take place in Portland, OR, at Reed College. Participants stay in on-site dorms; hacking and socializing takes place in communal areas. Join us this year just for the fun of giving back!
Attendees will split into teams and work on projects for organizations like Free Geek, Sisters of the Road Cafe, and Know Your City. Registration is $150 and scholarships are available. We provide housing, food, and evening activities.
While we are focusing on Python, we'd love for Javascript folks and people with design or UX skills too! We're open to all skill levels.
Code For Good is a registered non-profit and all sales go 100% to running the event.

SaturdayMay 30 2009Portland Code Camp
Code Camp is a place for developers to come and learn from their peers. This FREE community driven event has become an international trend where peer groups of all platforms, programming languages and disciplines band together to bring content to the community.
Who is speaking at Code Camp? YOU are, YOUR PEERS are, and YOUR LOCAL EXPERTS are...all are welcome! This is a community event and one of the main purposes of the event is to have local community members step up and offer some cool presentations! Don’t worry if you have never given a presentation before, we’ll give you some tips if you need help, and this a great opportunity to spread your wings. Of course, we do have some ringers on our speaker list as well...stay tuned...
