    Portland Accessibility and User Experience Meetup (PDX A11Y UX) — Summer Social in the Park

    Hello fellow a11y PDXers!

    Join us for a social gathering on Thursday, June 20th, at Laurelhurst Park, Picnic Area D, near SE Ankeny St and SE Cesar Chavez Blvd.

    This is an opportunity to network, reconnect with old friends, or make new ones! Previous experience or accessibility knowledge is not required, but curiosity is welcomed. We'll provide some light snacks & beverages, but BYO is also encouraged.

    A few rules from Portland Parks and Rec:

    • No smoking
    • Beer/wine only, no other alcohol
    • Clean up after ourselves

    Hello fellow PDXers! We have been dormant for a while, and want to gather for some networking and socializing this summer.

    Join us on July 26th for a gathering at Laurelhurst Park, Picnic Area D near the intersection of SE Ankeny St & SE Cesar Chavez Blvd.

    We'll provide some light snacks & beverages, but BYO is also encouraged.

    Science Hack Day Portland Meet & Greet: Potluck in the Park

    All are welcome to gather in Laurelhurst Park to meet other Science Hack Day attendees and organizers.

    We will brainstorm projects and build DIY eclipse viewers for the upcoming solar eclipse.

    Optional: bring food/drink to share and a small donation for materials

    Donut.js BBQ 2017

    This event is free, but please RSVP ahead of time at https://donutjs.club/tickets so we know how many people to expect. :)

    • We’ll be at ‘Picnic Area F,’ a short walk from the north entrance.
    • We’ll provide donuts (including vegan and gluten-free donuts), soda, water, cups/plates/utensils.
    • It’s a potluck, and we encourage donut-themed food!
    • You are welcome to bring a grill and grill foods! (We won’t be bringing one.)
    • BYOB; beer/wine is OK.
    • The Donut.js Code of Conduct will be in full effect.

    This is a break from our normal monthly meetup!


    We have monthly meet-ups with talks on tech, creativity, community, society, and the wonderful places where those things overlap. Every month we donate our proceeds to a local nonprofit. Come see some wonderful presentations, eat some donuts, and chat with friends.

    This will be a very casual geek event with outdoor activities, games and potluck so be sure to bring the whole family and any outdoor friendly games you'd like to share!

    See what other folks are bringing to the Potluck, then add what you would like to bring. Try to fill in the blanks (bring a main course if it's all dessert/salad so far).

    Summer Coders Social is the outdoor, sunny, sibling of Winter Coders Social. The goal is a very casual, geek social event. BBQ, games, and conversation. This is a family friendly event so be sure to bring the kids and significant other. We have plenty of space so all user groups are welcome. If you can, be sure to sign up for the potluck though it is optional.

    Picnic Tweetup at Laurelhurst Park

    Enjoy Sunday's forecasted sunshine, 75 degree weather, and company of friends at Laurelhurst park. Whatever games and/or food people bring, is what we'll do. I'll bring a frisbee.

    Last December, many of the local software developer User Groups banded together and had a party (instead of the regular meetings). It was know as the Winter Coders Social (few pics). Summer Coder's Social is the outdoor and (hopefully) sunny successor!!!
    This will be a very casual geek event with outdoor activities, games and BBQ so be sure to bring the whole family.
    Sponsors will provide the basics of Hamburgers and Hotdogs (and Vegan equivilants). Potluck will provide the rest. This is also a BYOB event.
