SBIR/STTR Grant Writing Workshop through Portland State University The Oregon Bioscience Incubator will be hosting a 2-day SBIR Grant Writing Workshop on April 9-10. Topics covered will include: SBIR/STTR basics, how to craft a competitive SBIR/STTR proposal, commercialization, and budget planning. There is an application process to attend this workshop. Invent Seminar Series: An Introduction to Stanford Biodesign – Pursuing Needs-based Innovation in Healthcare – OHSU, Knight Cancer Research Building 1011 (first floor) Speaker: Ryan Krone, PhD, Innovation and Commercialization Director for Cancer Early Detection and Advanced Research (CEDAR) at OHSU Join us to uncover the importance of identifying clinical need and value in the innovation process to develop cost-effective biomedical solutions that significantly impact human health. Ryan is a former fellow in the Stanford Biodesign program, where he and Holly Rockweiler co-founded Madorra. For CEDAR, Ryan facilitates the capture of innovation and surveys external strategic partnerships to uncover commercial opportunities in early cancer detection. He leverages his start-up experience to enable fast-paced execution among the research teams and aid in the fog sculpting of early stage projects. Ryan has a PhD from UC Berkeley in theoretical mechanics. When: Thursday, November 7, 2019, Noon-1pm Registration required - seating is limited Details: Please feel free to bring your lunch.
