Join Dr. Allison Coffin, Assistant Professor of Integrative Physiology and Neuroscience at WSU Vancouver, for this fun romp through the dating lives of birds, fish, and other animals. Out in Tech PDX | Tech-nically Dating – WeWork Custom House Love is in the air this time of year! The rise of U.S. dating apps has fundamentally altered how members of the LGBTQ community find partners and connect to one another. In fact, nearly two-thirds of gay and lesbian couples in the U.S. met online. Join Out in Tech PDX as we chat about how technology has changed the dating game. You'll hear from the creators of online dating platforms and the stories of those who use them. We'll be discussing design, privacy, security and inclusion, as well as what keeps us hooked on these apps. There will be featured presentations, followed by a discussion panel with Q&A.
