Mop Street Swap Meet
PASCAL

PASCAL is hosting a swap meet free to anyone at Portland's new Hackerspace located at 2410 N Mississippi Ave on Oct 14 from noon to 10:00pm. This event is for people who like to swap cool tech and electronics!

This event will have space for 15 booths with tables and nice comfy seats. There will be onsite snacks, a food truck outside with covered seating and smoking area, and a local DJ. Parking is available street side close to Widmer Brewery and McMenamins.

We are here to make connections with our community and collaborate with our neighbors- and have an opportunity to sell and trade!

Portland State Aerospace Society Open House
PSU Engineering Building, 1930 SW 4th Avenue

The Portland State Aerospace Society (PSAS for short) is a student-led aerospace engineering group at Portland State University. We build ultra-low-cost, open source rockets, liquid-fuel rocket engines, satellites, and satellite ground stations.

Come on down for our annual open house, where you can see our rockets, rocket engines, and duplicates of Oregon's first and second satellites (our second satellite is in orbit around the Earth right now!). You can also see bits of our 3rd satellite that's going to space in the next year.

Be able to touch real space hardware, and talk with geeky engineers and non-geeky folk, too!

Join us for snacks and aerospace fun! Good for all ages.

The event is free, but please register on Eventbrite so we know you're coming!

PSU Aerospace Open House
PSU Engineering Building

Join us in the "Rocket Room" here at the Portland State University Engineering Building and see all of our awesome open source projects! Check out:

  • Launch Vehicle No. 3.1, our latest amateur rocket ready to fly this May 17th!
  • Our fully operational liquid fuel rocket engine test stand!
  • The first bits of OreSat1, our third open source, student designed and built nanosatellite!
  • Plans for our existing and future satellite ground stations!
  • Plans for our future 100 km capable rocket system!

The event is free! Bring your friends and family for a night of aerospace engineering, space nerddom, and delicious snacks and drinks.

Our open house is also on the PSU Spring Day of Giving, so it’s also our annual fundraiser and a major source of income for our student group! Your donations provide opportunities for our university students and the projects that help to boost their future careers and help contribute to open-source aerospace for everyone around the world.

We look forward to seeing you!
